In 1976, Jacques d’Amboise, former New York City Ballet dancer, founded the National Dance Institute (NDI), a non-profit organization dedicated to motivating public school children to strive for excellence through dance.  NDI has since spread across America, serving thousands of children each year at schools in high-poverty and racially diverse neighborhoods.  Jacques was honored by the Kennedy Center for his work with NDI.  This is a portrait of the New Mexico chapter of the National Dance Institute.
